Job Description - RN-5th Floor-Days )
Under the general supervision of the Manager, Nursing Services, and according to established policies and procedures, coordinates total nursing care for patients, participates in patient and family teaching, acts as a patient/family advocate, and works with other nursing and ancillary personnel to maintain standards for professional nursing practice. Work is of a highly confidential nature. Performs other duties of the department as required.
Responsibilities- Coordinates total nursing care for patients under the general supervision of the Manager, Nursing Services and according to established policies and procedures.
- Participates in patient and family teaching.
- Acts as a patient/family advocate.
- Works with other nursing and ancillary personnel to maintain standards for professional nursing practice.
- Performs other duties of the department as required.
- Graduation from a Nursing Education program and current NC or multistate RN licensure required.
- Employee must have the ability to understand, communicate and react effectively to the unique needs of neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult.
- CPR certification required and provided.
