Travel RN - Med​/Surg

American Traveler is hiring an RN - Med Surg for a 36-hour weekly, 12-hour day shift assignment requiring 2+ years of experience and NC or compact RN licensure.

• Active RN license (NC or Compact) currently in hand
• BLS and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Associate's degree in Nursing required
• MEDITECH experience preferred
• Med Surg experience preferred

• Medical Surgical unit spanning 3rd and 5th floors with 22 beds on each unit
• Adult and geriatric patient population with diagnoses including surgical, PD exchanges, placement, and psych
• Patient ratios of 6:1 up to 7:1
• Uses telemetry equipment and MEDITECH EHR
• 12-hour day shifts from 7a-7p
• Every other weekend required
• No call requirements
• Floating required as a 2nd nurse to Telemetry and ED units
• 294-bed Duke Lifepoint Hospital that is Joint Commission Accredited offering cancer care, cardiac care, orthopedics, imaging, and surgical services
• Scrubs of any color accepted
• Candidates must reside 60 miles or greater from the facility to be considered for the travel rate
• Candidates who worked perm staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
• Candidates cannot be employed elsewhere full time
• Orientation occurs bi-weekly
