American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an ICU/IMU night shift position requiring 1.5+ years of critical care experience and NC or compact RN licensure.

• ICU and IMU unit with 16 beds in a 294-bed hospital
• Adult patient population with common diagnoses including COPD, ARF, DKA, sepsis, and shock
• Patient ratios of ICU 2:1, IMU 3:1, and Tele 1:5
• Night shift schedule, 7P-7A
• Every other or every third weekend required (12-hour weekend shifts)
• No call requirements
• Floating required, including telemetry overflow
• Uses cardiac monitors, Hill-Rom Progressive Care beds with scale, Abbott glucometer, Endo Tool, Bair Hugger, TR band, Hotline 3 fluid warmer, Baxter IV pumps, and bedside dialysis capability
• Meditech EMR used
• Reports to Clinical Staff Lead or Charge Nurse

• Active RN license (NC or compact) required
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 1.5 years of ICU/critical care experience required
• Associate degree required, BSN preferred
• EKG interpretation skills and critical thinking abilities required
• Knowledge of critical drip titration, including vasopressors and sedation
• Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration
• Active Nursys license verification required at time of consideration

• Provide critical care nursing services to adult ICU and IMU patients
• Work within a team-oriented environment requiring flexibility and adaptability
• Artificial nails not permitted
• Scrub color not assigned
• Candidates must reside 60 miles or more from the facility to be eligible for travel pay rate
• Local candidates within 60 miles may be considered at local rate
• Cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
• Cannot be employed elsewhere on a full-time basis while on assignment
