Rec Aide Groundskeeper

This is an entry level position that assists in the upkeep of the grounds for Parks, Greenways, Pools, and Athletic Fields.

This position assists in the upkeep of the grounds for Parks, Greenways, Pools, and Athletic Fields. This position is a key holder and is the contact person on weekends. He also supervises Rec Aide
- Groundskeeper I during weekend shifts.

This position assists in the upkeep of the grounds for Parks, Greenways, Pools, and Athletic Fields. This position is required to be able to operate city truck and trailer for mowers, coordinate shelter cleanup around weekend rentals schedule, perform safety site inspections of parks, and make minor bathrooms repairs.

This position assists in the upkeep of the grounds for Parks, Greenways, Pools, and Athletic Fields. This position meets all the requirement of Rec Aide Groundskeeper II, however, has the ability to handle athletic events, handle significant bathrooms issues, make minor repairs to scoreboards, make minor repairs to shelters.

Supervisory/Management Responsibility

• Will be required to supervise Rec Aide
  - Groundskeepers I- III on weekend shifts, communicate with Athletic Staff and respond to citizens’ complaints from dispatch.

• Willing to work outside during extreme weather conditions
• Candidates must be willing to work a flexible schedule with preference to those available to work shifts Monday– Sunday, 7 AM to 3:30 PM.

Rec Aide 2
- Groundskeeper

• Minimum of 1-year experience in Park Maintenance or related field
• Willing to work outside during extreme weather conditions
• Candidates must be willing to work a flexible schedule with preference to those available to work shifts Monday– Sunday, 7 AM to 3:30 PM.

Rec Aide 3
- Groundskeeper

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Park Maintenance or related field
• Willing to work outside during extreme weather conditions
• Candidates must be willing to work a flexible schedule with preference to those available to work shifts Monday– Friday, 7 AM to 3:30 PM.

Rec Aide 4
- Groundskeeper

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Park Maintenance or related field
• Willing to work outside during extreme weather conditions
• Candidates must be willing to work a flexible schedule with preference to those available to work shifts Monday– Friday, 7 AM to 3:30 PM.

Must be able to perform daily tasks which include the following bodily movements: sits, stand, reach, turn, climb, bend, squat, stoop, kneel, crawl, push and pull frequently, grasp objects, use fine manipulation, write and operate machines and equipment, and strength to safely perform lifting and carrying of items up to but not limited to at least 50 pounds.
