Our client is seeking an experienced Sales Manager to oversee regional sales for retail fueling equipment throughout the Eastern and southeastern United States. This role is based in Wilson, NC and requires regular travel to customer sites and industry partners—typically two to three days per week. The ideal candidate will combine strong technical understanding of fueling systems with proven business development and relationship management skills.
Job Responsibilities- Develop and execute sales strategies to expand business in the Eastern and southeastern U.S. markets.
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with distributors, contractors, and end users within the retail fueling industry.
- Conduct site visits and client meetings 2-3 times per week to assess needs, present solutions, and close sales opportunities.
- Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to ensure accurate project scoping and product integration.
- Track and analyze regional sales performance, forecasts, and key metrics to identify growth opportunities.
- Attend trade shows, conferences, and regional events to promote brand awareness and develop new leads.
- Manage key accounts to ensure customer satisfaction, resolve issues promptly, and drive repeat business.
- Stay current with market trends, competitors, and regulatory changes affecting the fueling equipment industry.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related technical field preferred.
- 2-10 years of experience in sales or account management within the retail fueling equipment or related industrial equipment sector.
- Proven ability to grow territory revenue and maintain strong client relationships.
- Strong understanding of fueling systems, components, and installation processes.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Willingness to travel regionally 2-3 times per week.
- Self‑motivated and organized, with the ability to work independently and manage multiple accounts simultaneously.
- Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
