Wellness Floor Attendant

Overview

The Wellness Floor Attendant is responsible for providing excellent customer service, ensuring a safe and clean workout environment, and assisting members with equipment usage and basic fitness guidance.

• Greet and engage with members, providing friendly and helpful service.
• Ensure the wellness center is clean, organized, and free of hazards.
• Educate members on proper use of exercise equipment.
• Monitor the fitness area to ensure safety and adherence to YMCA policies.
• Assist with cleaning and disinfecting fitness machines, weights, and equipment.
• Provide basic fitness guidance and encouragement to members.
• Report any maintenance or safety issues to the appropriate staff.
• Enforce YMCA rules and policies regarding facility use.
• Support wellness programs and events as needed.

• Must be at least 18 years old
• CPR/AED and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Knowledge of fitness equipment and safety protocols preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Prior customer service or fitness experience is a plus

• Requires standing, walking, bending, and lifting equipment (up to 50 lbs)
• Work may include evenings, weekends, and holidays
