Job Description & How to Apply Below

Siemens Child Development Center, our highly reputable early childhood community, has an opening for an Infant‑Toddler Teacher. Operating hours are 7:45 am‑5:00 pm, Monday through Friday, year‑round.

Teachers at the center work in a professional, collaborative, team‑based culture inspired by Reggio Emilia, Italy, and a social‑constructivist pedagogy. Our program places a strong commitment on time spent outdoors in all seasons.

We seek candidates dedicated to working with children birth to three who complement our existing team. Successful candidates are passionate about the art of teaching and committed to staying current on child‑development research and best practice.

Ideal candidates are attuned observers, listeners, and communicators who are life‑long learners, eager to share their knowledge, genuine curiosity, and passions with children, families, and colleagues.

Requirements
  • Education: Minimum of an A.A. degree in Early Childhood Education or the equivalent CDA;
    Step 7 Registry Certificate.
  • Licensing/Training: Applicants must meet all licensing/accreditation requirements prior to hire (background check, enrollment in the Oregon Child Care Criminal History Registry, Adult, Infant and Child CPR/First Aid and a valid Oregon food handler’s card).
  • Experience with and developmental knowledge of the needs of children birth to five.
  • Eagerness to join our exploration of Reggio‑inspired practice and lifelong learning.
  • Commitment for the remainder of the school year (August 26) to children, families, and the team.
  • Ability to meet the physical and emotional demands necessary to build warm, healthy, sustained, and professional relationships with very young children and their families.
