Position Summary:
This hybrid role involves 25‑50% regional travel, includes a company vehicle, overtime pay, and an annual salary range of $93,750 – $137,500. Salary is based on skills, experience, and market conditions.
The Electrical Services & Systems team offers a comprehensive portfolio of services for every stage of a power system’s life cycle. Our Power Systems Controls group provides full-service integration, designing graphically rich operator interfaces with leading HMI and PLC technologies.
Responsibilities- Design Power Systems Controls.
- Program Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and Human‑Machine Interfaces (HMIs).
- Program protection relay schemes to implement controls with or without a Data Concentrator.
- Manage hyper‑scale data center projects, including factory & witness testing and on‑site commissioning with support from other team members.
- Support negotiations through consultation, sales calls, and training.
- Minimum of 7 years of power systems controls experience with a bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a Technical Field, OR 4 years of experience with a master’s degree.
- Valid, unrestricted driver’s license.
- Relocation not offered; candidates must reside within a 50‑mile radius of listed locations. Active‑duty military candidates are exempt.
- Master of Science in Electrical Engineering.
- Professional Engineering license.
- Experience managing and deploying power automation projects, including PLC programming and direct customer interaction.
- Knowledge of best engineering practices for designing automation systems, power management systems, and HMI software.
- Understanding of protection relay‑based monitoring and control systems.
- Proficiency with test equipment and diagnostic instruments for automation and power management systems.
- Strong computer literacy; experience with relevant software packages.
- Familiarity with safety precautions related to working with automation and power systems.
- Ability to provide service and represent company interests to develop long‑term customer relationships.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
- Experience with AutoCAD.
- Compliance with the company’s safety program and background screening requirements.
