Base pay range: $63,500.00/yr - $82,500.00/yr.

As a Lead Wastewater Operator
, you’ll join a collaborative team ensuring uninterrupted service delivery. Based in Wilsonville, OR
, you’ll perform a variety of tasks in the operation and maintenance of a wastewater treatment plant: leading weekly meetings, directing and training team members, preventive maintenance, establishing sample procedures, diagnosing problems, process control adjustments, preparing reports, collecting samples, laboratory testing, maintaining shift logs, and ensuring safety. You’ll take action to ensure the safety, health, and well‑being of yourself and your team.
- Lead and train the wastewater treatment team.
- Perform operation and maintenance of plant equipment.
- Execute preventive maintenance schedules.
- Develop and maintain sampling procedures for plant operations and effluent.
- Diagnose and resolve plant operating problems.
- Make process control adjustments.
- Prepare reports and manage software data entry.
- Maintain shift logs and perform other duties as required.
- Ensure safety and health compliance.
- State of Oregon Level 3 Wastewater Operator License and Oregon Level 3 Collections License (or ability to obtain within 6 months).
- Four (4) or more years of experience operating water/wastewater treatment plants.
- Experience leading teams and assigning work.
- Proficient with computer software:
Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and maintenance management systems. - Proficient with plant SCADA systems.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Preferred:
Level 4 License, Associate’s degree in wastewater or related field, 6+ years experience, CDL, knowledge of pump/valve operation, chemical analysis principles, and PLC/SCADA operation.
Physical Requirements
Safety is a core value position requires substantial safety sensitive labor; therefore, a Fitness for Duty test is required. Physical demands include standing, walking, reaching, repetitive hand movements, and exposure to confined spaces, noise, chemicals, and high pressure systems. Appropriate safety equipment is mandatory.
