Responsibilities- The X-Ray Technologist performs diagnostic X-Ray procedures, adjusts equipment settings, determines proper voltage/exposure, and positions patients.
- Take X-rays as directed by the physician, ensuring patient safety, excellent customer service, and high-quality images.
- Communicate with patients and provide clear instructions on procedures and protections (e.g., lead shielding).
- Prepare patients for X-ray procedures, assist on/off X-ray table, and ensure proper positioning.
- Complete X-rays per protocols; maintain knowledge of all applications and equipment.
- Obtain CDs, films, records, reports, and other pertinent patient information for the provider.
- Maintain logs and records pertaining to X-ray procedures; keep the X-ray room clean, organized, and stocked.
- Uphold high standards of radiation safety at all times.
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- 2-3 years of relevant experience.
- 1 year X-ray technician experience in an outpatient orthopedic clinic preferred.
- Good verbal, written, and telephone skills.
- Ability to educate patients on procedures being performed.
- Multi-task oriented and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Base pay reflects USD $40.00 - USD $45.00 per hour.
