Job Summary
The Reiki Practitioner will provide holistic, complementary care to hospice patients. The Reiki Practitioner will work as part of an interdisciplinary team, offering comfort and support to patients and their families through energy healing. This role focuses on enhancing the emotional, spiritual, and physical well-being of patients facing terminal illnesses.
Job Duties and Responsibilities

Provide Reiki healing sessions to hospice patients in homes, hospice facilities, or care centers.Collaborate with the hospice care team, including nurses, social workers, chaplains, and volunteers, to integrate Reiki as part of the overall care plan.Coordinate in-service meetings for external and internal stakeholders to educate on the benefits of Reiki, consistently acknowledging its cultural roots in Japan.Maintain detailed and confidential session records in compliance with hospice policies and HIPAA regulations.Offer a calming and supportive presence, addressing patients' emotional, physical, and spiritual needs.Educate patients, families, and staff on the benefits of Reiki therapy.Adapt Reiki sessions to meet the unique needs and comfort levels of each patient.Participate in hospice team meetings and ongoing training as required.Other duties as assignedQualifications and Experience
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required to perform this job.
Certified Reiki Practitioner (Level II required or Master preferred).Experience providing Reiki in a healthcare or hospice setting preferred.Training or experience in additional holistic therapies, such as aromatherapy, meditation, or therapeutic touch.#J-18808-Ljbffr
