Senior Payroll Specialist - Hybrid Flexible
Job Title: Senior Payroll Specialist
Location: Corporate office in Wilsonville, OR (Hybrid Flexible)
Schedule: Monday - Friday, Day shift; 40 hours per week; overtime as needed.
Compensation: Competitive salary, DOE; quarterly/annual performance bonuses; 401(k) with up to 3.5% Ore Pac contribution; paid PTO (80 hrs first year, 120 hrs thereafter); paid sick time 40 hrs annually; 7 paid holidays; benefit package (medical, dental, vision up to 70% pay, HSA, FSA, EAP, life insurance, LTD, STD, etc.)
Position SummaryThe Senior Payroll Specialist is responsible for payroll processes for the company’s bi-weekly and semi-monthly multi-site and multi-state payroll for 1,000+ associates.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities- Process full-cycle payroll operations with accuracy (compensation, benefits, new hires, terminations).
- Ensure quality and accuracy of employee transactions through the complete payroll cycle.
- Perform internal verification and auditing for downstream payroll, HR, and accounting.
- Conduct weekly audit reviews of payroll functions for data and compliance accuracy.
- Research state reporting requirements and wage and hour laws to ensure compliance.
- Investigate payroll issues/discrepancies and process necessary corrections.
- Run custom reports requiring strong knowledge of relational databases, MS Excel, and complex formulas.
- Assist with compliance audits and deliverables.
- Provide training and facilitate meetings as requested by management.
- Collaborate in a team environment with cooperation.
- Comprehensive knowledge of payroll processes, procedures, and state/federal laws.
- Experience with third‑party payroll software (ADP Workforce Now preferred).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and prioritization for deadlines.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage confidential employee information.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
Associate’s degree in a related field and at least 3 years of experience with full-cycle payroll for minimum 300+ associates. Alternative combinations of education, training, or experience acceptable.
Physical Demands & Work EnvironmentStandard office environment with occasional lifting of files, open filing cabinets, and standing on a stool.
