Test Technician

APCON is seeking a Test Technician to join our production team. The Test Technician supports by ensuring the reliability and performance of APCON’s advanced electronic products. This position involves conducting functional tests on complex hardware and diagnosing technical issues in a dynamic production setting using PC-based tools.

Responsibilities:

• Perform functional and operational tests on circuit boards and chassis in a fast-paced production environment
• Configure and test end products to meet customer and company specifications and requirements
• Configure test equipment to meet multiple testing requirements based on product and customer specifications
• Evaluate returned products for failures
• Maintain accurate documentation of product test results and update troubleshooting logs
• Support other production tasks as directed by management

Required Skills and Abilities

• 3–5+ years testing electronics in a production environment
• Proficiency in board-level diagnostics and PC-based test software
• Must have understanding of networking concepts, protocols (like TCP/IP, Ethernet), and network devices (routers, switches, etc.)
• A thorough understanding of communications networks (LANs, Internet, optical networks, etc.), fiber optic and copper principles (including transceivers, cable, and traffic), and cabling systems is essential.

Education And Soft Skills

• High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Strong attention to detail and multitasking ability
• Clear and effective communication skills
• Willingness to work overtime as required
