Duties

and Responsibilities
  • Conduct initial and ongoing assessments to determine the needs of the patient and to monitor progress.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the healthcare provider.
  • Monitor and document the patient’s condition and the care and treatment provided.
  • Assist with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and feeding patients as needed.
  • Collaborate with registered nurses and doctors to plan and coordinate patient care.
  • Educate patients and their families on health conditions and provide advice and emotional support.
  • Operate and monitor medical equipment used in patient care.
  • Implement infection control practices and maintain a safe and clean working environment.
  • Respond to patient emergencies and provide first aid as necessary.
  • Participate in professional development and continuous learning to maintain a current knowledge base in the field of practical nursing.
Requirements
  • Valid LPN license in the state of practice.
  • Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program.
  • Minimum of one year experience as an LPN, preferred in a hospital or long-term care facility.
  • Demonstrate a high level of compassion and understanding for the needs of patients.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to efficiently document care and interact with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team as well as independently.
  • Strong organizational skills and observance to detail.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and appropriate care procedures.
  • Capability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously under stressful conditions.
  • Physical stamina and dexterity required to perform tasks associated with direct patient care.
