Technician

As a Facilities Technician at JLL, you’ll be at the heart of keeping our clients’ buildings running smoothly and efficiently. This hands‑on role requires a proactive approach to maintaining mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems while ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for building occupants. You’ll perform preventive maintenance, respond to service requests, and troubleshoot equipment issues across a variety of building systems.

What

your day‑to‑day will look like:
  • Perform small cube builds, reconfigures, and space modifications to accommodate changing workspace needs
  • Set up and arrange rooms for meetings, events, and training sessions with necessary furniture and equipment configurations
  • Complete general repairs including patch and paint work, replacing ceiling tiles, assembling furniture and benches, and maintaining overall facility appearance
  • Install carpet squares and perform minor cosmetic repairs to maintain professional workspace standards
  • Respond promptly to work orders and service requests, diagnosing issues and implementing effective solutions in a timely manner
  • Conduct regular inspections of building systems and equipment, identifying potential problems before they escalated
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, work orders, and equipment logs using computerized maintenance management systems
  • Collaborate with external vendors and contractors to coordinate repairs and specialized maintenance tasks
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, building codes, and company policies during maintenance and repair activities
Required qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent certification
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in facilities maintenance, building operations, or a related technical field
  • Some knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills with attention to detail
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds, work at heights, and perform tasks in various environmental conditions
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Preferred qualifications:
  • Technical certification or trade school training in facilities maintenance, HVAC, electrical, or plumbing
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics
  • Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) such as Corrigo, Maximo, or similar platforms
  • EPA Universal Refrigerant Certification or other relevant industry certifications
  • Experience working in commercial office buildings, healthcare facilities, or industrial environments
  • Basic computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
