Ring's End, Inc. is seeking an Estimator – Residential Construction in Wilton, CT
.

We are a Connecticut‑based lumber and building materials retailer serving Connecticut, South County, Rhode Island, and Westchester County, New York. The Estimator is responsible for preparing cost estimates for projects of varying sizes and complexities. They review construction documents and correct potential inaccuracies to material lists, prepare take‑off documents for contractor proposals, and work with internal customers, the Ring's End Sales Force. Depending on skill set, onboarding will focus on missing elements, training on Ring's End POS system, window and door quoting software.

Expect to spend 2‑6 months becoming familiar with all aspects of Ring's End before assuming duties. They have weekly touch bases with their Department Manager.

• A solid background in building materials, plan comprehension and construction methods is desirable.
• Effective communication, organizational and time‑management skills.
• Ability to work both independently and in a team.
• Detail oriented.
• Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
• Knowledge of or teachable in Window and Door quoting software, Internal Estimating software.
• Bonus: experience in CAD, Plan Swift, Ring's End POS software, Marvin, Anderson, Upstate quoting portals.

• Read and understand construction plans.
• Communicate with Salesperson, Subcontractors, Vendors and Management.
• Deliver projects accurately and on time.
• Learn and become proficient in window and door quoting software.
• Learn and become proficient in internal quoting software.
• Be a positive force in the team.
• Work Monday‑Friday, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. (48 hours/week).
