Position:
Residential Construction Estimator at Ring's End, Inc.

Location:

Wilton, CT (on site, candidates must reside in CT and commute to Wilton office).

Compensation:

The Estimator is responsible for preparing cost estimates for projects of varying sizes and complexities. They review construction documents, correct potential inaccuracies to material lists, prepare take‑off documents for contractor proposals, and work with internal customers, the Ring's End Sales Force. Training focuses on POS system, window and door quoting software, and internal estimating systems. Onboarding lasts 2‑6 months to become familiar with Ring's End before full duties.

Weekly touch‑bases with the Department Manager.

• Solid background in building materials, plan comprehension, and construction methods.
• Effective communication, organizational, and time‑management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Detail oriented.
• Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
• Knowledge of or teachability in window and door quoting software and internal estimating software.
• Bonus:
  Experience in CAD, Plan Swift, Ring's End POS software, Marvin, Anderson, Upstate quoting portals.

• Read and understand construction plans.
• Communicate with Salesperson, Subcontractors, Vendors, and Management.
• Deliver projects accurately and on time.
• Learn and become proficient in window and door quoting software.
• Learn and become proficient in internal quoting software.
• Be a positive force in the team.
• Work Mon‑Fri 7 am‑5 pm (48 hrs/week).
