Job Mission

ASML is the world’s leading provider of lithography systems for the semiconductor industry. This role serves as a First Line Support Production Engineer to provide rapid responses to resolve engineering disturbance notices and perform engineering actions listed in the Production Operator Dashboard (POD) to support output.

Job Description
  • Spend 75% of time in the cleanroom supporting production processes and leading troubleshooting actions.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical assembly and glass to metal bonding, tooling/test stand issues.
  • Operate epoxy debonding tools, heat guns, fume hoods and cleaning solvents safely per EHS guidelines.
  • Interpret mechatronic signal processing and generate required reports.
  • Support analysis of test data and derive conclusions.
  • Develop OCAPs, Fishbones and troubleshooting guidelines.
  • Evaluate and disposition failed parts with proposed solutions.
  • Support development of manufacturing procedures, technical work instructions, and design reviews.
  • Assist in root cause and cycle time analysis.
  • Read mechanical, electrical and optical drawings.
  • Provide occasional weekend coverage.
  • Work in a cleanroom environment with full gowning, ISO 9000/14000 standards, around overhead cranes, forklifts, lasers, ladders, platforms and chemicals.
Education & Work Experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or Mechatronics with 2+ years in a technical production or manufacturing environment.
  • Master’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Mechatronics Engineering with 2 internships in a technical production environment.
Additional Skills & Work Experience
  • Strong understanding of complex manufacturing assemblies.
  • Experience with multi‑disciplinary electro‑mechanical assemblies.
  • Experience with integrated hardware/software testers.
  • Knowledge of Unix/Linux/Python or MATLAB.
  • Knowledge of statistical process control and FMEA.
  • Knowledge of NX, Teamcenter, SAP and Twinscan software.
  • Knowledge of vacuum systems.
  • Ability to troubleshoot optical surfaces to defined Scratch‑Dig specs.

Context of the position
  • Routine duties include sitting, walking, talking, hearing, using hands to keyboard, handling, feeling, stooping, kneeling, crouching, twisting, reaching and stretching.
  • Occasional campus movement and lifting up to 20 pounds.
  • May require travel depending on company needs.
  • Requires close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Must be able to read and interpret data, information and documents, and work under deadlines.
  • Environment moderate in temperature and noise level.
