We are looking for a General Radiology Technologist to join our team. Pay range depends on experience and qualifications.
ScheduleMon-Fri 8:30-5pm with rotating Saturday's 8-12noon.
Role OverviewThe General Radiologic & Mammography Technologist performs diagnostic radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures; reviews all necessary documentation related to the procedures and performs related clinical and administrative duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Demonstrated interest in meeting patient needs and assuring patient satisfaction.
- Operating knowledge of radiographic equipment.
- Perform all diagnostic radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures within assigned areas including Mammography.
- Review all necessary documentation to perform diagnostic procedures.
- Perform preventative visual and manual inspections for each radiographic room/equipment assigned ensuring appropriate maintenance and cleanliness.
- Perform related clinical and clerical duties associated with the patient procedure.
- Assist in managing the radiographic procedures through coordination of resources to facilitate optimal efficiency and ensure procedures performed are in accordance with policies and procedures.
- Perform warm up calibration procedures necessary to ready the equipment for patient imaging.
- Assist in procurement of all necessary supplies.
- Inform supervisor of any equipment needing repair to insure prompt service.
- Contribute to a positive climate and open communication for a team approach.
- Maintain certification and licensure by attending continuing education classes.
College degree preferred. RRT (RT)(R)(M) and CT State License required.
