Job SummaryThe maintenance electrician will perform tasks including but not limited to: maintain all primary and secondary electrical distribution systems up to 600 volts, troubleshoot and maintain control circuitry, variable frequency drives and other special electrical systems, wire outlets, relocate fixtures, troubleshoot lighting and power panels, install outlets in existing and underground raceways when applicable and required. The role also includes performing as a Multi‑Craft Technician—handling plumbing, HVAC, and general building maintenance as assigned.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities- Maintain all primary and secondary electrical distribution systems up to 600 volts.
- Service batteries and transformers.
- Read and follow blueprints.
- Maintain, test, and repair AC motor controls.
- Install, maintain, and troubleshoot VFDs.
- Complete all preventive maintenance (PM) and record‑keeping for assigned areas.
- Submit electrician’s reports for all work performed.
- Make recommendations to supervisor regarding equipment performance.
- Respond to emergencies at any time.
- Maintain a safe and clean work area and follow basic safe‑work practices based on company and customer policies.
- HS diploma or equivalent professional education in electrical trades.
- Journeyman’s license or completion of a four‑year apprenticeship program.
- Five or more years of experience in commercial, industrial, and manufacturing environments.
- In‑depth knowledge of building codes, regulations, and ordinances.
- Ability to read, interpret, and work from plans, schematics, and drawings.
- Experience in estimating electrical labor, materials, and equipment.
- Strong interpersonal and customer‑service skills.
