Automotive Lecturer

This is an exciting opportunity to join our Automotive department, helping learners develop the practical skills, technical knowledge and professional behaviours needed for successful careers within the motor vehicle industry. You'll play a key role in preparing learners for employment by delivering engaging, industry-relevant teaching across a range of automotive programmes.
What you'll do:
• Deliver high-quality teaching, learning and assessment across Automotive programmes, ideally from Level 1 to Level 3
• Inspire learners to develop the practical skills and technical knowledge required by the modern automotive industry
• Plan engaging workshop and classroom sessions that reflect current industry practices and emerging technologies
• Monitor learner progress and provide constructive feedback to support achievement and progression
• Create a safe, inclusive and positive learning environment that promotes learner success
• Contribute to curriculum development and continuous improvement within the Automotive department
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of developments within the automotive sector, including emerging vehicle technologies
• Support learners to progress into apprenticeships, employment or further study
What we're looking for:
• A recognised qualification in an Automotive discipline at Level 3 or above
• Significant industry experience within the motor vehicle sector
• A teaching qualification (or willingness to work towards one)
• Experience teaching, training or mentoring learners, apprentices or colleagues
• Strong knowledge of vehicle servicing, repair, diagnostics and modern automotive systems
• Excellent communication, organisation and interpersonal skills
• Ability to motivate and inspire learners from a range of backgrounds
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people
