Quality Inspector - Aerospace Manufacturing
Salary: 35-40,000
Shifts: Days

A well-established and growing aerospace engineering manufacturer is seeking a detail-driven Quality Inspector to join their quality team. This is a hands-on role focused on ensuring all incoming, in-process, and finished components meet strict aerospace and customer quality standards. The Role

As a Quality Inspector, you'll play a key role in maintaining product quality through precise inspection processes and collaboration with engineering and production teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out First Off, In-Process, Goods Inwards, and Final Inspections against engineering drawings and specifications

  • Perform inspections using precision metrology equipment, including CMMs, micrometers, vernier callipers, and surface finish measurement tools

  • Complete First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs) using quality software, recording dimensional and process data

  • Inspect outgoing components, ensuring all quality documentation and dimensional requirements are fully met

  • Work closely with Engineering and Production teams to identify root causes and support corrective actions (RCCA)

  • Maintain accurate inspection records and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives

  • Manage calibration activities, including gauge maintenance, ordering, and record keeping

Candidate Requirements
  • Previous experience within an aerospace manufacturing environment

  • Strong understanding of surface finishes, including anodising, painting, and coating standards

  • Proven experience using metrology and inspection equipment, including CMM and precision gauges

  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications

  • Experience working to AS9100 or similar quality standards

  • Confident using Microsoft Office, with exposure to CAD software such as Solid Works beneficial
