Workshop Controller Required in Wimbledon for Car Dealership

Are you an experienced automotive professional looking to advance your career as a Workshop Controller? Our client, a well-established and reputable car dealership in Wimbledon, South West London, is seeking a skilled Workshop Controller to join their busy team. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a progressive dealership that values its staff and offers competitive rewards and development prospects.

  • Pay
    : £36 – £38k Basic DOE + Bonuses + Overtime
  • Hours
    : 8am – 6pm Monday – Friday with Saturdays on a rota

Key duties of the Workshop Controller include:

  • Overseeing daily workshop operations to ensure efficiency and productivity
  • Managing and motivating technicians to meet targets and maintain high service standards
  • Tracking vehicle progress and coordinating with Service Reception to keep customers informed
  • Ensuring operational procedures are followed to maximise workshop profitability
  • Supporting team development through coaching and support
  • Maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction through professional communication and service

Requirements for the Workshop Controller include:

  • Previous experience as a Workshop Controller or in a similar supervisory role within the automotive industry
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Technical background or experience in service advisory is beneficial
  • Ability to motivate team members and support their professional development
  • Excellent organisational skills and a customer-focused approach
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role
  • Demonstration of a proactive attitude and commitment to high standards
