Our client is seeking an experienced Site Manager with a strong background in steel frame construction to join their growing team. The successful candidate will take responsibility for the day-to-day management of construction sites, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a reputable contractor delivering a range of commercial, industrial, residential, and mixed-use steel frame projects.
Key Responsibilities- Manage all on-site operations from mobilisation through to completion.
- Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, suppliers, and direct labour.
- Ensure steel frame erection works are carried out safely and in accordance with programme requirements.
- Monitor project progress and report regularly to senior management.
- Maintain high standards of health, safety, quality, and environmental compliance.
- Conduct site inspections, toolbox talks, and site inductions.
- Liaise with clients, consultants, structural engineers, and project teams.
- Manage site logistics, materials, and plant requirements.
- Identify and resolve construction issues to minimise delays.
- Ensure all works comply with current regulations, specifications, and company procedures.
- Proven experience as a Site Manager on steel frame construction projects.
- Strong understanding of structural steel erection and associated trades.
- Excellent knowledge of health and safety legislation and site management practices.
- Ability to manage multiple subcontractors and maintain programme targets.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- SMSTS
- CSCS Card (Black or appropriate management level)
- First Aid at Work
- Temporary Works Coordinator (desirable)
- Appointed Person or Crane/Lifting Operations experience (desirable)
