SEN Learning Mentor
- Annual Salary: £95 - £110 per day

Sutton - Job Type: Full-time
We are seeking a dedicated SEN Learning Mentor to join our educational team. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and who have experience working with children in a school setting.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Provide one-on-one and group support to students with SEN, focusing on their individual learning and emotional needs.
- Develop and maintain strong, supportive relationships with students, encouraging their academic and personal growth.
- Collaborate with teachers and other educational staff to implement effective learning strategies tailored to the needs of each student.
- Monitor and track the progress of students, adapting support methods as needed to maximize student success.
- Advocate for the needs of SEN students within the school environment, ensuring they receive appropriate resources and support.
- Engage in continuous professional development to stay informed about the latest educational practices and techniques for supporting SEN students.
Required Skills &
Qualifications:
- Proven experience working with children in a school setting, particularly those with special educational needs. (Essential)
- A strong passion for assisting children who require additional support in their education.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with students, parents, and educational staff.
- A patient and empathetic approach, with a commitment to fostering a supportive learning environment.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a wider team.
- Able to liaise with the class teacher and SENCO, receive and provide feedback put in place for the students in the classroom.
