Pay: Competitive daily rate (dependent on experience)
Are you an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant with a passion for supporting children in the Early Years?
A friendly and inclusive primary school in Wimbledon is looking for a dedicated Specialist SEN Teaching Assistant to join their Reception class from September on a full-time, long-term basis.
This is a fantastic opportunity to support a child with additional needs during a crucial stage of their development while working alongside a supportive class teacher and experienced SENCO.
The Role- Supporting a Reception pupil with Special Educational Needs (SEND)
- Delivering tailored 1:1 support throughout the school day
- Encouraging communication, independence and social development
- Working closely with the class teacher, SENCO and external professionals
- Creating a positive, engaging and nurturing learning environment
- Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant in a primary school
- Strong EYFS experience, ideally within Reception
- Experience supporting children with SEND, including Autism (ASC), speech and language needs or communication difficulties
- Patient, caring and proactive approach
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- A genuine passion for helping children achieve their full potential
- Long-term, full-time role with an immediate September start
