A Graduate Teaching Assistant role is one of the most valuable ways to explore a career in education while developing practical skills that will benefit you long into the future. Many graduates who begin as Graduate Teaching Assistants progress into teacher training, educational psychology, speech and language therapy, SEND or other professions centred around supporting children and young people.

• Graduate Teaching Assistant – full‑time, long‑term opportunity
• £95‑£110 per day, depending on experience
• September 2026 start
• Opportunities available across Wimbledon, South London
• Full academic year until July 2027
• Previous experience with children welcomed but not essential
• Excellent preparation for teacher training and child‑focused careers

• Supporting pupils individually and in small groups throughout the school day
• Assisting teachers with lesson delivery and classroom organisation
• Encouraging pupils to develop confidence, independence and resilience
• Helping prepare engaging learning materials and classroom resources
• Promoting positive behaviour and strong learning routines
• Building professional relationships that help pupils achieve their potential

• Hold a degree with a strong academic record, ideally a First or 2:1
• Demonstrate excellent GCSEs and A Levels alongside your degree
• Bring energy, initiative and a positive approach to every day
• Have experience working with children or young people, although this isn't essential
• Be interested in a future career in teaching or another profession working with children
• Commit to a full‑time role for the entire academic year
