Overview

Data Scientist Permanent Position Hybrid, from our Wimbledon Office. Domestic & General is growing fast across 14 countries, protecting the appliances that keep households running and reducing waste by extending the life of everyday devices. As we scale, we’re looking for a Data Scientist to contribute to the delivery of high-quality data science solutions to business problems.

• Support the delivery of machine learning projects, helping apply appropriate techniques to real problems.
• Help maintain and improve existing models.
• Contribute ideas to how the team plans and prioritises its work.
• Work closely with others in the team, sharing progress and learning from more experienced colleagues.
• Help break down business problems and support building solutions.

• A degree in IT, computing or a data‑related field.
• A grounding in machine learning, statistics and programming.
• Knowledge of common data modelling techniques.
• An interest in how AI can be applied to data science problems.
• Exposure to tools such as cloud platforms and data pipelines.
• A willingness to develop and grow by learning from more tenured colleagues.
