An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Practice Nurse to join a well-established and forward‑thinking GP practice in Wimbledon.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a Practice Nurse looking for a supportive environment where they can work autonomously, build strong relationships with patients and continue to develop their clinical skills.
You’ll be joining an experienced multidisciplinary team with excellent support from GPs, ANPs, HCAs, Clinical Pharmacists and the wider practice team. The practice places a real emphasis on teamwork and ensuring its nursing team has the support and resources needed to provide high‑quality patient care.
The RoleThe successful candidate will take responsibility for a varied Practice Nurse workload, managing their own clinics and delivering a high standard of patient‑centred care.
You will have the opportunity to utilise your existing skills across chronic disease management, treatment‑room services, immunisations and preventative healthcare, with further training available to expand your competencies.
Key ResponsibilitiesChronic disease management
Diabetes, Asthma, COPD and Hypertension reviews
Immunisations and vaccinations
Cervical cytology
Wound care and treatment‑room duties
Venepuncture
ECGs
Health checks and screening
Long‑term condition reviews
Health promotion and preventative care
Patient assessment and clinical management
Supporting practice targets and clinical audits
Working closely with the wider multidisciplinary team
Up to £27 per hour, depending on experience
Permanent position

We are looking for an experienced Practice Nurse who is confident across the core primary care nursing remit and enjoys working as part of a multidisciplinary team.
You will ideally have:
Current NMC registration
Previous Practice Nurse or primary care experience
Strong chronic disease management experience
Competence in immunisations and vaccinations
Cervical cytology experience
Excellent treatment‑room skills
Strong communication and organisational skills
The ability to work autonomously
A proactive, patient‑focused approach
