Job Description & How to Apply Below
Ready to Step Up into Your Next Buying Role? Have you spent the last 12-18 months mastering the basics of retail buying administration? If you're looking for real ownership, direct exposure to strategy, and a clear path toward becoming an Assistant Buyer, this is your next move. We’re looking for an ambitious Buyers Assistant to join our team in Wimbledon. You won’t just be inputting data-you’ll serve as one of the operational engines behind our product categories, working side-by-side with our Buyers to drive commercial performance.
HowYou’ll Grow & Impact the Business
- Strategic Exposure:
Move beyond basic admin by assisting directly with range planning, promotional planograms, and supplier calendars. - Commercial Sharpness:
Build your analytical toolkit through price benchmarking, discrepancy investigations, and margin‑impacting data management. - End-to-End Ownership:
Take full accountability for sample tracking, supplier chasing, SKU creation, and web setups‑getting products from concept to customer seamlessly. - Cross-Functional Influence:
Collaborate daily with Trade Admin, Marketing, and Space Planning, positioning yourself as a key player in cross‑departmental projects.
- Solid Foundation: 12-18 months of hands‑on experience within a retail head office buying team.
- Analytical Mindset:
Comfortable with pricing data, high‑level Excel, and internal retail systems, with a natural eye for detail. - Relationship Builder:
Confident and clear when dealing with external suppliers and internal cross‑functional teams. - Ambition: A proactive mindset and a real eagerness to sharpen your range strategy and negotiation skills over time.
Located in our vibrant Wimbledon office, you’ll join a supportive team within the Retail Buying team.
- Growth & Culture:
Structured learning pathways, mentoring from experienced Buyers, regular sample sales, wellness initiatives, and active social committees. - Compelling Package:
Competitive salary, performance‑related bonus incentives, 26 days annual leave (+ bank holidays), pension, and life assurance. - Perks:
Generous, exclusive discounts across all TPRG retail brands.
