GSL Education are looking for an enthusiastic SEN Support Worker to join a welcoming school in Wimborne
. As an SEN Support Worker
, you will play a vital role in providing individualised support to pupils with a range of special educational needs, helping them engage positively with learning and daily routines.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced SEN Support Worker
, or for someone with relevant experience in care, youth work, or support roles who is passionate about making a meaningful difference in education.
- Provide one-to-one and small-group support for pupils with SEN.
- Assist with communication, emotional regulation, behaviour strategies, and classroom tasks.
- Support the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
- Promote independence, participation, and confidence in pupils.
- Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals.
- Help maintain a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment.
- Experience as an SEN Support Worker or in a similar SEN/care role.
- A calm, patient, and proactive approach.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Understanding of ASD, ADHD, SEMH, MLD, or other additional needs.
- A genuine passion for supporting young learners with diverse needs.
- Enhanced DBS registered on the update service or willingness to apply through GSL Education.
- Competitive hourly pay between £13.68 and £16.12
