Teaching Assistant - No Experience Necessary
Location: Cranborne, Dorset Permanent, Term-Time Only (40 hours per week)Hourly Rate:£12.87 - £14.03Plus a £1,000 Welcome Bonus
Reed Education are excited to be working with a specialist school in Cranborne, Dorset, who are seeking enthusiastic and motivated Teaching Assistants to join their supportive team. This school prepares young people for adult life through individualised academic and vocational programmes designed to build independence, confidence, emotional resilience and long-term success.

The Role
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to start a rewarding career in education - no previous experience is required, just the right attitude, potential and commitment.
As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting young people within a safe, caring and structured learning environment. You will help students develop independence, confidence and academic progress while building trusted, professional relationships.
Your role may involve working 1:1 with a student or supporting small groups within the classroom, as well as participating in off-site learning activities. A flexible, positive approach and strong behaviour-support skills are essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Support and facilitate students' learning, independence and personal development
- Assist with planning, preparation and evaluation of learning activities
- Contribute to reporting and recording student progress
- Always promote independence and positive behaviour
- Maintain accurate records and follow safeguarding procedures
- Support students both in class and during off-site activities
- Help promote self-regulation, confidence and social skills
What the school are looking for:
- Full UK driving licence and have access to a car
- Aged 21 or over (due to site requirements)
- Positive, creative and enthusiastic
- Able to work well both independently and as part of a team
- Professional, reliable and committed to student wellbeing
- Confident with basic ICT and record-keeping
- Keen to learn, develop and gain qualifications (fully funded)
