Salary - £18,818 - £19,113 pro rated per annum (pay award pending)

Teaching Assistant Required By Rushcombe First School – Xs10.5a

We are looking for an outstanding teaching assistant to join our successful, forward‑thinking and friendly school. The successful candidate will be committed to enriching children’s learning and well‑being, ensuring the highest outcomes for all children.

• Monday – Friday
• Hours of work: 08:30 am – 03:30 pm, 32.5 hrs per week, 39 weeks term‑time.
• Rate of pay:
  Dorset Grade 3, SCP 3‑4

The role could be in Early Years, Key Stage 1 and/or 2.

• Support teaching and classroom activities.
• Enrich children’s learning and well‑being.
• Ensure the highest outcomes for all children.

• Relevant qualifications and experience of working with young children.

The post is a fixed‑term contract ideally commencing as soon as possible until the end of the summer term 2027. It may be extended for the following academic year.

Enhanced DBS check required. Pay will be adjusted at the start of employment and again if leaving part‑way through the school year to ensure correct salary is received.

Right to work in the UK must be established as part of the appointment process.
