About This Role

Hayeswood First School is looking for a Teaching Assistant G5 to join our fantastic team. This role is a Teaching Assistant (SEN) for Grade 5, supporting pupils with SEND needs on a 1:1 basis and in a group. The position is part‑time, term‑time only – 15 hours per week, 39 weeks per year. It will be a fixed‑term contract, ending 22 July 2026, and may be subject to business needs.

Salary is £8,921 to £9,063 per annum (pro‑rata for 15 hours). The role is based in the UK; right to work must be established.

Key responsibilities include:

• Providing support to pupils with disability, learning difficulty or behavioural problems on a 1:1 and group basis.
• Collaborating within the teaching team to promote inclusive education and implement the OPAL approach.
• Ensuring safeguarding and welfare of children on site and maintaining DCSB/DBS compliance.
