Team Jobs is currently recruiting for an experienced Manual / XYZ / Hurco Turner to join a well-established precision engineering company based in Wimborne. This is a temporary assignment, ideal for an experienced Turner looking for steady work in a professional manufacturing environment.

Working Hours (39 hours per week)

Monday - Thursday: 07:30 - 16:45

Friday: 07:30 - 12:30

45 minutes unpaid lunch break (Mon-Thurs)

Early finish every Friday

The Role

You will be responsible for setting, programming and operating XYZ and Hurco lathes, producing high-quality components to tight tolerances. This is a hands-on role requiring strong manual turning skills and the ability to work from engineering drawings.

Key Responsibilities

Setting and operating XYZ lathes (Proto

TRAK)

Setting and operating Hurco lathes (Win Max)

Manual turning to tight tolerances

Reading and interpreting engineering drawings

Selecting tools, speeds and feeds

Carrying out in-process inspections

Maintaining quality and production records

Working safely and following H&S procedures

What We are Looking For

Time-served Turner or NVQ Level 3 / Apprenticeship in Engineering

Experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment

Strong manual turning background

Confident using measuring equipment

Experience machining steel, aluminium and similar materials

XYZ / Hurco experience highly desirable
