Up to £16.83 per hour / £35,000 per annum

Hours:

39 hours per week, Monday – Thursday 8am – 4.30pm & Friday 8am – 1.00pm

A well-established manufacturer based in Wimborne are looking to recruit for a Mechanical Inspector on a permanent contract.

• Duties will include;
• Goods in, work in progress and final inspection of mechanical parts
• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings, specifications, and tolerances
• Using measuring equipment including verniers, micrometres, bore gauges and height gauges etc
• Program and operating CMM equipment (training can be provided)
• Identifying, recording and reporting non-conformances
• Supporting root cause analysis and corrective actions
• Maintaining accurate inspection records and reports
• Ensuring compliance with ISO 9001 and company quality standards

• The successful candidate will possess;
• Previous experience of mechanical inspection (3 – 5 years)
• Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
• Experience in programming and operating CMM is advantageous – training can be provided
• Experience of using measuring equipment
• Understanding of machining and assembly processes
• Working knowledge of ISO 9001 standards
