A well-established precision engineering manufacturer in Wimborne is seeking an experienced CNC Turner Setter/Operator to join its busy machine shop. This is a permanent, day-shift role within a modern engineering environment, offering long‑term stability and consistent workload. The position is suited to a skilled machinist who is confident setting and operating CNC turning machines and producing precision components to tight tolerances.

As a CNC Turner
, you will be responsible for setting and operating CNC lathes to produce high‑quality engineered components.

Key responsibilities include:

• Setting and operating CNC turning machines.
• Working with Mazak CNC control systems.
• Manufacturing precision components to engineering specifications.
• Reading and interpreting technical engineering drawings.
• Carrying out inspection of finished parts to ensure quality standards.
• Maintaining efficient and accurate production output.

• Previous experience as a CNC Turner Setter/Operator.
• Experience working with Mazak controls.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Strong understanding of machining tolerances and quality standards.
• Good attention to detail and a reliable working approach.
• Multi‑axis machining experience would be an advantage, but not essential.

• £17.00 – £21.00 per hour depending on experience.
• Permanent position with long‑term opportunities.
• Monday to Friday day shift.
• Overtime available.
