Sous Chef
Location: Wimborne
Salary: £33,870 per annum + excellent benefits package
Contract: Full-time, 52 weeks per year, working 5 out of 7 days
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Sous Chef to join our outstanding catering team in a prestigious educational setting. You will assist the Executive Head Chef in managing all aspects of the catering operation, ensuring high standards of food quality, presentation, and service for pupils, staff, and visitors.
The kitchens cater for up to 1,000 meals daily during term time
, providing breakfast, lunch, and dinner, as well as catering for internal and external events, weddings, and lettings throughout the year. Your normal shift pattern would be 06:00 - 14:00 or 11:30 - 19:30
.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Executive Head Chef in delivering exceptional food and service.
- Manage rotas, budgets, and stock control effectively.
- Ensure compliance with food safety and allergen procedures.
- Motivate and develop your team to achieve excellence.

- Proven experience in large-scale, high-quality catering.
- Strong leadership and organisational skills.
- Creative, detail-oriented, and passionate about delivering outstanding food.
