Quantity Surveyor

At OCM Consulting, we provide a range of Quantity Surveying services to a growing portfolio of Civil Engineering Contractors. You’ll collaborate on projects of varying scale and complexity, contributing to a team and managing the commercial aspects throughout. The Quantity Surveyor will play a pivotal role in overseeing the commercial function of projects and will report directly to the Lead Quantity Surveyor.

• Site measurement, including take-off, valuations, and cost analysis
• Change management and programme adjustments
• Applications for payment and final account settlements
• Material quantifying and scheduling
• Attending progress and account meetings
• Managing contractor supply chain documentation requirements

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role within Civil Engineering in the UK
• Working knowledge of contract forms, including NEC3/4
• Qualified to at least HNC standard and CSCS Card required
• Ability to take initiative and adapt to challenges
• Available to work from site 2–3 days a week; clean driver’s license required
• Self-motivated with strong teamwork skills
• Ability to work to deadlines
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
