40hour per week 08:00 – 17:00 Monday to Friday. Flexibility may be required to support operational requirements, shutdown activities and emergency response arrangements.

We're looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join our engineering team supporting a critical client environment in Templecombe. Working alongside a team of mechanical, electrical and multi-skilled engineers, you will be responsible for delivering planned preventative maintenance, reactive repairs, fault finding and improvement works across a wide range of mechanical building services systems.

Role Responsibilities:

Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on mechanical building services plant and equipment.

Maintain, service and repair HVAC systems, including air handling units (AHUs), fan coil units (FCUs), ventilation systems, extract systems and associated controls.

Undertake maintenance and fault diagnosis on commercial heating systems, boilers, pumps, expansion vessels, pressurisation units and associated equipment.

Carry out repairs and maintenance to domestic and commercial plumbing systems, including sanitaryware, pipework, valves and water distribution systems.

Diagnose mechanical faults and implement effective corrective actions to minimise downtime and disruption whilst supporting site projects, shutdown activities and asset replacement programmes as required.

Required Qualifications:

Recognised mechanical engineering qualification (City & Guilds, NVQ Level 3, Apprenticeship or equivalent).Proven experience working in a commercial, industrial or facilities management environment.

Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, mechanical plant, commercial plumbing and building services.

Experience maintaining pumps, motors, valves, heating systems and associated mechanical infrastructure.

Full UK Driving Licence.
