• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
• 15+ years experience in the injection molding industry with focus on tool design.
• 10+ years in supervisory and management capacity.
• Strong project management skills.
• Experience with large‑scale machinery and tooling for high‑capacity production environments.
• Direct hands‑on experience in mold design and construction.
• Experience with 3D modelling software (Solid Works).
• Ability to read and interpret Moldflow analyses.
• Experience in working with various mold material and metal types.
• Advanced experience in both cold runner and hot runner manifold systems.
• Experience collaborating with teams of engineers and technicians.
• Experience with plastics manufacturing processes including injection molding, extrusion, blow mold, thermoform and others.
• Experience in working with various polymers.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Travel is a critical part of this role and can be every week depending on situation.

We seek a self‑driven, highly motivated environmental engineer with a strong background in mold design and other plastic forming technologies. This candidate will manage wastewater treatment solutions and mold development, procurement and validation and ensure that we are taking advantage of the best and most innovative technologies available to design, produce and maintain molds.

• Develop and implement tooling strategies to support production goals.
• Manage new tool construction projects.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to ensure efficient tooling design and implementation.
• Manage the tooling repair department.
• Design and develop tooling for large‑scale machinery, ensuring compatibility with high‑tonnage presses and other advanced equipment.
• Optimize tooling for large‑scale, complex machinery operations.
• Monitor tooling performance and identify areas for improvement.
• Design and develop new tooling, fixtures, and gauges to support production activities.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation for all tooling and processes.
• Analyze data to identify areas for improvement and make recommendations.
• Collaborate with suppliers to ensure quality and reliability of tooling.
• Research technologies for enhanced mold repair, maintenance and construction of new and existing molds and ensure improved performance.
• Assist in assuring new and existing product and tool designs are moldable, suggesting design changes or alternative processes.
• Continuously seek opportunities for improvement by researching new technologies for product, mold, material, and manufacturing enhancements.
• Collaborate with vendors to adopt alternative methods, materials, and equipment to improve molds and mold maintenance.
• Assist manufacturing in process improvement.
