American Traveler is hiring an RN for a PACU position requiring 3+ years of experience and KY or compact RN licensure.
Details- Work in the PACU department of a community hospital
- 9 PACU beds and 12 Pre-Op beds with patient ratios of 1:1-2 in PACU
- Patient population includes infants, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics
- Service lines include Ortho, General Surgery, ENT, Cataracts, OB/GYN, Urology, and Endoscopy
- Uses Med Host EHR system
- Schedule is Monday through Friday,
- Floating required within department to Pre-Op
- On-call requirement of up to 8 days per month including weekends and holidays, with a 30-minute response time
- Active KY or compact RN license required
- Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS (AHA certifications required)
- 3+ years of PACU experience required
- Phase I and Phase II recovery experience required
- Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration
- Active Nursys licensure verification required at time of consideration
- Provide perianesthesia nursing care across Phase I and Phase II recovery
- Professional attire required; navy or black scrubs, with hospital-supplied scrubs as an alternative
- No crew neck sweatshirts or hoodies permitted; T-shirts allowed only on Fridays with facility logo
- Weekend coverage required every other weekend
- Candidates must reside 60 miles or greater from the facility to be considered for the travel rate
- Previous permanent staff employment at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months is not eligible
- Candidates cannot be employed elsewhere full time
