Registered Nurse (RN) Nurse Manager
Full-Time | Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) | Various Shifts
Premier Healthcare is seeking a compassionate and experienced Nurse Manager to join our skilled nursing team in Winchester, MA. In this role, you will oversee nursing staff, ensure high-quality, resident-centered care, and maintain compliance with all federal, state, and facility regulations.
Qualifications:- Nursing degree from an accredited college or university
- Current, unencumbered Massachusetts RN license
- CPR certification required
- Minimum 2 years providing direct care in long-term care, restorative, or geriatric settings
- Minimum 1 year of nursing management or supervisory experience
- Must meet state requirements for licensure and have no disciplinary action
- Supervise CNAs, LPNs, and other nursing personnel on assigned units
- Plan, organize, and direct nursing services for residents
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and facility policies
- Participate in admissions, discharges, and transfers
- Administer medications and perform skilled nursing interventions (wound care, IVs, tube feedings, colostomy care, suctioning, etc.)
- Observe, document, and report resident status to physicians, families, and leadership
- Conduct rounds to ensure resident needs are met, and staff follow facility policies
- Maintain an adequate stock of medications, medical supplies, and equipment
- Participate in QAPI, care plan meetings, and survey/inspection processes
- Treat all residents with dignity and respect; protect residents’ rights and confidentiality
- Follow infection control, safety, and emergency procedures
- Report any abuse, neglect, exposures, or policy violations according to facility guidelines
- Complete all required training and skills competency
- Strong leadership and supervisory skills
- Excellent communication and critical-thinking abilities
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and handle emergencies
- Patient, tactful, and professional with residents, families, and staff
- Able to move throughout the facility and perform physical tasks as required
