, you will play a vital role in making communities healthier.

• Performs imaging procedures (Radiography, CT, Mammography, US, Nuclear Medicine, or MRI) according to departmental protocols and established standards of practice to produce quality images for interpretation by a radiologist.
• Verifies patient identification, confirms physician orders, obtains patient history/forms, assesses patient condition, explains procedures, provides patient education, and addresses patient concerns prior to performing exams.
• Performs a variety of radiological exams that require independent judgment and proper positioning, protocols, and techniques to obtain a diagnostic image that meets radiologist specifications.
• Maintains knowledge of contrast media and medications, prepares and administers contrast according to departmental protocols, recognizes significant adverse reactions and acts appropriately.
• Assists radiologists/physicians with procedures as required and ensures that Standard Precautions and sterile techniques are utilized.
• Maintains communication and cooperation with radiologists and other ancillary departments regarding changes in protocol, scheduling of procedures, exams performed, and patient flow.

• Associate's degree preferred; training commensurate with ARRT (R) certification preferred.
• ARRT Certification in Radiography required; certification in CT or meets JC Diagnostic Imaging Standards required.
• Certain imaging technicians must become competent in CT within 6 months of employment unless already certified.
• Strong critical‑thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Ability to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
• BLS certification required.
• Will rotate within the department, perform exams in multiple modalities, work various shifts, and participate in call rotation as required.
