Highpoint Health with Ascension Saint Thomas has an opportunity for a Registered Nurse to join our Cath Lab team.

Highpoint Health - Winchester with Ascension Saint Thomas is a 157-bed facility that includes 131 licensed acute care beds and 26 skilled nursing home beds. Fully accredited by The Joint Commission, the hospital offers a wide range of inpatient and outpatient services supported by a qualified and diverse medical staff.

Responsibilities include providing direct patient care to patients using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice, working closely with Cath Lab patients ensuring their comfort and making them aware of what is going to take place, performing plan of care intervention, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, as well as other medical care treatment, documenting patient care given, monitoring, recording, and communicating patient condition as appropriate to care team, physician, patient, and family, assisting patients with performing activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation, collaborating as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, evaluating learning needs of patient and/or family and providing patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances, and working as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.

Minimum Education:

Associate's degree is required, BSN is preferred.

Required Skills:

critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.

Certifications:

Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS). Licenses:
Current and active Registered Nurse Licensure for the State of Tennessee.
