About the RoleWe are seeking a highly motivated Fieldwork Manager to join our dynamic Property Consultancy team. This role focuses on managing field operations, ensuring accurate data collection, and maintaining high standards of quality and compliance. You will lead survey teams, liaise with clients, and oversee project delivery across multiple sites in London and the South of England.
Key Responsibilities- Project & Team Management
- Appoint, brief, and coordinate surveyors for fieldwork activities.
- Manage pilot surveys to test systems and procedures before full rollout.
- Provide guidance and support to surveyors, ensuring adherence to standards.
- Operational Oversight
- Assist with the setup and testing of mobile devices for data collection.
- Liaise with data analysts to ensure accurate reporting and analysis.
- Undertake physical re‑inspections, accompanied visits, and on‑site QA checks.
- Client & Stakeholder Engagement
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients and survey teams.
- Report progress and address issues affecting fieldwork delivery.
- Participate in meetings (face‑to‑face or virtual) and manage challenging conversations professionally.
- Technical Expertise
- Conduct energy assessments and stock condition surveys as required (training provided if needed).
- Stay updated on industry regulations, HHSRS standards, and best practices related to energy efficiency.
- Act as lead surveyor/DEA on new projects.
- Essential:
- Strong knowledge of stock condition surveys and HHSRS (including all 29 hazards).
- Knowledge of Awaab’s Law and its implications for damp and mould compliance.
- Excellent project management and team leadership skills.
- Competent user of Excel and mobile data capture systems.
- Exceptional attention to detail and professional communication skills.
- Desirable:
- DEA qualification and knowledge of construction technology for residential properties.
- Experience in housing compliance and decent homes standards.
- Understanding of the Regulator of Social Housing (RSH) Consumer Standards and RSHRA obligations.
- Familiarity with retrofit assessments (training provided if required).
