Blaymires Recruitment is representing a leading specialist in residential development, based near Winchester who is searching for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join their growing team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated Assistant Quantity Surveyor to support Senior Quantity Surveyors across a range of projects, gaining hands‑on experience in all aspects of commercial management within the residential construction sector.

• Assist with the preparation of cost estimates, budgets, and tender documents.
• Support in managing project costs throughout the lifecycle of developments.
• Help in the preparation and analysis of subcontractor quotations.
• Assist with contract administration and procurement activities.
• Help to monitor site progress and track costs, preparing cost reports.
• Liaise with project teams and provide support on cost control matters.
• Participate in site visits to assess project progress and cost implications.

• A recent graduate or early career professional with a relevant degree (e.g., Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or similar).
• Some experience in a construction or quantity surveying role is desirable, but not essential.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Keen attention to detail and eagerness to learn.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ideally some knowledge of industry software.
• A proactive, positive approach to problem‑solving.
