Junior Estimator

We are working with a well established UK contractor to recruit a Junior Estimator to join their commercial team, based from their Winchester head office.

The company operates across specialist construction sectors and delivers a range of complex projects for commercial clients. Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint a Junior Estimator who is keen to learn, develop their commercial skills and progress their career within a supportive and experienced estimating team.

• Assisting with the preparation of tender submissions, reviewing drawings, specifications and scopes of work, requesting and analysing subcontractor and supplier quotations.
• Supporting senior estimators with cost planning and pricing exercises.
• You will also help maintain pricing schedules and estimating records, and gradually take on increased responsibility as your experience develops.

This role offers a clear career pathway. You will receive hands‑on training, mentorship from senior estimators and exposure to live tenders from an early stage. Over time, there is genuine scope to progress into a full Estimator role and beyond, with structured development and support throughout your career.

This position would suit someone with a construction related qualification, or early experience within estimating or a commercial environment, who is motivated, organised and eager to build a long term career in construction.

The role is based full time at the companys head office and offers a salary of circa £30,000, along with long term career progression and development opportunities.
