Estimator

We are recruiting for a highly respected Tier 1 Main Contractor with a regional turnover of over £120 million that frequently delivers projects up to £60 million. A recent retirement and several internal promotions create a rare opportunity for an Estimator or Assistant Estimator to join their established commercial team.

• Preparing accurate cost estimates and tender submissions
• Reviewing drawings, specifications, and project documentation
• Producing take‑offs and pricing schedules
• Liaising with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain quotations
• Assisting with bid preparation and tender adjudications
• Identifying value engineering opportunities and commercial risks
• Supporting senior estimating staff on larger projects
• Maintaining strong working relationships with clients, consultants, and supply chain partners
• Contributing to successful project wins across a variety of sectors

• Previous experience within construction estimating
• Main contracting experience preferred
• Strong numerical and analytical skills
• Excellent communication and organisational abilities
• Ambition to progress within a leading contractor
• Relevant construction qualification beneficial but not essential
