We now seek a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team on a permanent, full-time basis.

The RoleAs a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will take a leading role in the commercial management of our projects, ensuring robust financial control, governance, and compliance throughout the project lifecycle.
Reporting to the Commercial Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all commercial aspects on your projects, providing strategic input to maximise value, manage risk, and drive performance. This will include leading on cost planning, procurement strategy, contract administration, and the management of change.
Working collaboratively with clients, subcontractors, and internal project teams, you will ensure commercial objectives are achieved, budgets are controlled, and JCT contracts are administered effectively and in line with best practice.
Additionally, you will:
- Lead cost forecasting, budgeting, and detailed financial reporting across projects
- Take ownership of subcontractor procurement, negotiation, payments, and performance management
- Manage and review monthly valuations, cost value reconciliations (CVR), and commercial reporting
- Proactively manage risk and opportunity registers, providing strategic mitigation and value engineering solutions
- Provide commercial leadership and mentorship to junior team members where appropriate
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients and key stakeholders
To be considered for this Senior Quantity Surveyor role, you will have:
- A minimum of 7–10 years’ experience in quantity surveying, ideally within a main contractor environment
- Proven experience operating at Senior Quantity Surveyor level, with the ability to manage projects independently
- A strong background in the prime residential sector; structural experience is highly desirable
- In-depth knowledge and practical application of JCT contract forms
- Excellent commercial acumen, with strong negotiation and analytical skills
- The confidence to lead, influence, and challenge at all levels
- A degree or equivalent in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline
